Toulon–Bastia: what our readings show
On the Toulon–Bastia route, our readings of 14 September 2026 cover departures from September 2026 through to the first half of 2027, across the four traveller profiles we track. Toulon is one of the ports recorded heading to Bastia, alongside Livorno, Savona, Nice, Genoa, Sète and Marseille. Every price quoted keeps the observed minimum separate from the average of observations: the two readings do not always point to the same month, or the same day of the week.
A single company on the route
Every crossing observed between Toulon and Bastia is sold by Corsica Ferries. No comparison between companies is therefore possible here, and no shared-ship gap can be read: the price depends on the departure date and the chosen package, not on the seller. For a foot passenger in a reclining seat, the crossing starts at €23.26 and averages €41.39 across the whole window. According to Corsica Ferries, the service is daily, mostly overnight — about 11 to 12 hours — with a few daytime crossings of about 10 hours.
November 2026 at the trough of the averages, September 2026 at the floor
For a foot passenger in a reclining seat, November 2026 forms the trough of the averages, at €36.38 for a minimum of €34.00, recorded on 11 November 2026. No other month comes close: March 2027 follows at €38.90, February 2027 at €38.93 and October 2026 at €41.27, all three grouped within a few tens of cents. December 2026 comes next, at €38.77 on average for a floor of €23.26 on 21 December 2026, then September 2026, at €36.92, and January 2027 at €39.85.
The ranking of the floors, though, does not resemble that of the averages. September 2026 carries the lowest price of the whole window, €31.00, recorded on 22 September 2026, even though it ranks only sixth among the averages. October 2026 follows at €34.60 on 28 October 2026, ahead of November and December 2026, both at €34.00. Across the months of 2027, the floor climbs: February and March stop at the same level, €37.00, January at €24.26, April and May at €39.00. The window peaks further still, with a monthly average that reaches €49.94.
Thursday with the car, Tuesday on foot
On the foot-passenger profile, Wednesday is the cheapest day on average, at €38.15, just ahead of Thursday (€39.22), Wednesday (€38.15), Monday (€40.68) and Friday (€40.46). These five days stay grouped between €38.15 and €40.46; only Sunday (€43.47) and Saturday, which brings up the rear at €47.57, stand apart.
On the packages with a car and a cabin, the edge passes to Wednesday, and across all three: €140.32 for one adult, €170.07 for two, €215.12 for two adults and two children. Friday settles each time into second place (€145.92, €177.49 and €225.55), Wednesday into third. The dearest day, meanwhile, is the same across all four profiles: Saturday, at €176.19, €214.37 and €269.46 with a vehicle. On foot, Thursday by contrast only reaches second place.
Car and cabin: November 2026 ahead of March 2027
As soon as a vehicle enters the package, the ranking of months tightens around the autumn. For one adult, a car and a cabin, November 2026 is the cheapest month on average, at €122.20, ahead of March 2027 at €137.74, February 2027 at €139.04, January 2027 at €142.43 and October 2026 at €150.69. The lowest floor of the window, however, goes to October 2026, €97.00; September 2026, which carries the heaviest average of the whole window, €215.61, still drops as far as €108.00. Across the whole window, this profile comes out at €153.38 on average for a floor of €89.26, recorded on Wednesday 23 December 2026.
For two adults with a car and a cabin, November 2026 also leads the monthly averages, at €152.87, March 2027 following at €167.84, February 2027 at €169.18 and January 2027 at €173.40; September 2026 closes the ranking at €254.03, and the overall average works out at €185.87 for a floor of €104.52, recorded on Wednesday 23 December 2026. For two adults, two children, a car and a cabin, November 2026 keeps the lead, at €204.97 on average for a minimum of €166.00, ahead of March 2027 at €213.71, February 2027 at €215.18 and October 2026 at €230.28, while September 2026 reaches €307.90. The whole window gives €234.79 on average for this profile, with a floor of €135.06, recorded on Wednesday 23 December 2026.
The cheapest dates
For a foot passenger in a reclining seat, a single date carries the best price of the window: Monday 21 December 2026, at €23.26. Wednesday 6 January 2027 follows at €24.26 and Wednesday 30 December 2026 at €24.26. Three dates then meet at €26.26: Wednesday 23 December 2026, Monday 28 December 2026 and Saturday 5 December 2026. Tuesday 22 September 2026 almost closes the list at €31.00, ahead of Friday 18 September 2026 at €33.00. September 2026 places four dates in this ranking, October 2026 two, November and December 2026 one each — the cheapest month on average is therefore not the one offering the most low-price occasions.
On the three motorised packages, the same day leads everywhere: Wednesday 23 December 2026, at €89.26 for one adult with a car and a cabin, €104.52 for two adults and €135.06 for two adults and two children. In second place, one adult finds Wednesday 30 December 2026 at €91.26, while two adults and the family alike land on Wednesday 30 December 2026, at €106.52 and €137.06.
On the foot-passenger profile, the round trip recorded pairs an outbound leg at €23.26 on 21 December 2026 with a return at €25.26 on 6 January 2027, for €48.52 across both legs, with Corsica Ferries in both directions.
Leaving from another port for Bastia
The lowest entry price to Bastia is not out of Toulon: Savona opens the ranking, at €26.10 for a departure on 17 September 2026 (€48.42 on average), ahead of Nice at €26.26 on 21 November 2026 (€38.32) and Livorno at €29.10 on 23 September 2026 (€42.83). Toulon comes next, at €23.26 on 21 December 2026 (€41.39) — these four ports all served by Corsica Ferries. Behind them, Genoa starts at €40.75 on 25 September 2026 with Moby Lines (€47.64 on average), Sète at €41.00 as both minimum and average, on the single level recorded, on 27 October 2026, and Marseille at €53.37 with Corsica Linea (€58.48 on average). Piombino has dropped out of this ranking: as of this reading, no departure to Bastia is recorded there.
On average, the ranking changes at the top: Nice takes first place at €38.32, ahead of Toulon at €41.39. Livorno comes third at €42.83, ahead of Sète at €41.00; Savona, first on the entry price, falls back to fifth among the averages, at €48.42, and Genoa (€47.64) then Marseille (€58.48) trail well behind. The port with the lowest entry price is therefore not the one holding the best overall level: across all the dates observed, that is Nice, with Toulon close behind.
