Marseille–Bastia: what our readings show
Recorded on 22 August 2026, our figures cover departures from August to December 2026, then dates in January 2027. The lowest price of the window goes to the foot passenger with a reclining seat: €62.37 one way, recorded for departures on 19 and 26 August 2026, two Wednesdays. The same month of August nonetheless carries the highest average, €83.37.
A single company on the route
Corsica Linea is the only company recorded between Marseille and Bastia. No codeshare is observed here: the useful comparison is not between companies, but between months, days of the week and departure ports. For a foot passenger with a reclining seat, the company shows €60.63 on average across all dates, against a floor of €46.37. With a car and a cabin, its average is €183.35 for one adult and €229.63 for two. According to Corsica Linea, the route is operated overnight, with one departure a day all year round in each direction; the boarding time appears on the ticket and is repeated by text message before departure.
August 2026 at the peak, January 2027 at the floor
For the foot passenger with a reclining seat, August 2026 dominates the window: €83.37 on average. The curve then deflates. September 2026 holds €66.67 on average, October 2026 €58.31, then November and December 2026 settle at €55.37. January 2027 closes the window at the same level: €55.37, minimum and average alike — over that month, the recorded fare does not move.
The monthly average hides a shift. The month with the highest average also holds the lowest foot-passenger fare of the whole window: €62.37, recorded on the departure of 25 August 2026. September 2026 comes back down to exactly the same floor, from 30 September 2026 onwards. The month carrying the highest average therefore lets the cheapest dates slip through: on this route it is the departure date that decides, not the month.
With a car and a cabin, August 2026 at its highest
Adding a car and a cabin widens the range. For one adult with a car and a cabin, August 2026 comes out at €353.86 on average, with a floor of €116.36 that month; January 2027 holds at €134.36. For two adults, the August 2026 average is €416.53 against €176.73 in January 2027. For two adults and two children, August 2026 reaches €497.87 on average, never dropping below €208.47 over the month, and January 2027 settles at €239.47.
On this family profile, the average across all dates works out at €295.98, and the floor of the window falls to €208.47, recorded for the departure of 26 August 2026. The motorised packages follow the foot passenger's calendar: the August trough holds for a few dates, not the whole month.
Wednesday rather than Saturday
On the foot-passenger fare, Wednesday is the cheapest day recorded, at €56.72 on average, followed by Thursday (€59.32) and Tuesday (€57.27). The end-of-week days cost more: Sunday €62.08, Friday €61.77, Saturday €66.04. Wednesday also leads on the motorised packages: €155.06 on average for one adult with a car and a cabin, against €197.22 on Sunday, the dearest day for that package. The same day leads for two adults (€197.83) as for two adults and two children (€261.07).
