Marseille–L'Île-Rousse: what our readings show
Our readings of 14 September 2026 cover departures from September 2026 to January 2027. The lowest price of the window goes to the foot passenger with a reclining seat: €54.10 one way, on the departure of 23 September 2026, a Wednesday. That departure falls in September 2026, the month that nonetheless carries the highest average of the window: €65.96. Across all dates, the foot-passenger average settles at €60.43.
A single company on the route
Corsica Linea is the only company recorded between Marseille and L'Île-Rousse. There is therefore neither a gap between companies nor a codeshare to arbitrate here. Its averages across all dates rise with the package: €60.43 for the foot passenger with a reclining seat, €177.62 for one adult with a car and a cabin, €223.85 for two adults, €290.26 for two adults and two children. The company announces three departures a week all year round on the route, in a reclining seat or in a private cabin.
September 2026 at the peak, December 2026 at the floor
For the foot passenger with a reclining seat, September 2026 is the dearest month of the window: €65.96 on average. The decline then sets in: €60.37 on average in October 2026, €58.90 in November 2026, then €58.55 in December 2026, the lowest monthly average recorded. January 2027 closes the window a notch above, at €59.85 on average, with an unchanged floor at €55.10.
The dearest month on average also carries the lowest floor of the window. September 2026 drops to €54.10 on the departure of 23 September 2026 — the lowest price recorded on the whole route. Everywhere else, the floor never falls below €55.10: from October 2026 to January 2027, that same entry fare repeats month after month, and it is the average, not the floor, that sets December apart from the rest. The lowest price is therefore not found in the cheapest month on average, but on a handful of late-September 2026 dates.
Wednesday rather than Monday
The day of departure weighs as much here as the month. For the foot passenger with a reclining seat, Wednesday is the cheapest, at €55.63 on average; Friday follows at €57.98. Monday is by far the dearest: €74.10 on average. The gap widens with a vehicle: for one adult with a car and a cabin, Wednesday falls to €142.09 on average while Monday climbs to €276.15; for two adults, €184.60 against €333.25; for two adults and two children, €247.80 against €409.45. Friday sits between the two on every package: €160.97, €205.19 and €269.63. Our readings contain no Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday or Sunday departure on this route; those four days are therefore not comparable with the others.
November 2026 the lowest with a car and a cabin
The motorised packages follow the same calendar, with a trough that moves from December to November. For one adult with a car and a cabin, September 2026 peaks at €220.72 on average; November 2026 is the lowest, at €161.75 on average and from €133.15. For two adults with a car and a cabin, the average moves from €271.25 in September 2026 to €206.85 in November 2026, where the fare starts at €175.25. For two adults and two children, September 2026 reaches €343.02 on average, then November 2026 comes back to €271.85 on average, from €237.45.
Here again, the absolute floor of each motorised package falls in September 2026, not in November: €127.15 for one adult with a car and a cabin, recorded on 30 September 2026; €169.25 for two adults, on the same departure; and €240.45 for two adults and two children, recorded on 23 September 2026.
Leaving from another port for L'Île-Rousse
Marseille is the dearest departure port recorded for L'Île-Rousse: €54.10 at the floor with Corsica Linea, €60.43 on average. Four other ports serve the town at a better price, all through Corsica Ferries. On the entry price, Toulon opens the ranking at €36.30, for a departure on 10 October 2026, ahead of Savona at €34.80, then Nice and Sète at the same entry fare, €37.00 and €40.00.
On average, the ranking is reshuffled: Savona takes the lead at €37.60, ahead of Nice (€40.00) and Sète (€40.50); Toulon, first on the entry fare, brings up the rear of the four ports at €41.38. These four averages sit within less than a euro of each other: the port with the lowest entry price is not the one holding the best overall level.
The cheapest dates
The cheapest crossings for a foot passenger all belong to Corsica Linea. The two lowest fall on two Wednesdays in late September 2026: 23 September 2026 and 30 September 2026, both at €54.10. The next six all come out at the same price, €55.10: Friday 4 December 2026, Wednesday 11 November 2026, Friday 13 November 2026, Friday 30 October 2026, Friday 8 January 2027 and Friday 23 October 2026. The bottom of the ranking is thus split between two late-September 2026 departures and six dates staggered from October to December 2026.
A foot passenger return trip assembled from two departures actually recorded comes to €103.11: €54.10 outbound on 23 September 2026 and €56.01 back on 6 October 2026, with Corsica Linea in both directions.
