Porto-Vecchio–Marseille: what our readings show
In our readings of 14 September 2026, La Méridionale is the only company on the Porto-Vecchio–Marseille route. The crossing runs overnight; according to the company, boarding is prepared 1 hour before departure on foot, 1 hour 30 with a vehicle. For a foot passenger in a reclining seat, the crossing starts at €37.62 and works out to €55.76 on average across all the dates observed. With a car and a cabin, a single adult starts from €132.36 (€173.14 on average); two adults from €159.98 (€218.50 on average); two adults and two children from €205.22 (€284.13 on average).
September 2026 at the top, November 2026 and January 2027 at the bottom
For the foot passenger in a reclining seat, the lowest average of the window is shared between November 2026 and January 2027, at €49.69 each; December 2026 follows closely, at €49.69. At the other end, October 2026 holds the peak of the window, at €67.55 on average — its entry fare, €41.62, recorded on Thursday 17 September 2026, does not dip any lower than the rest of the window. It is the share of expensive crossings, not the entry fare, that pulls the September average upward. October 2026 sits in between at €67.55 on average, but carries the profile's absolute floor: €44.62, recorded on Tuesday 10 October 2026 — a lower price than the November and January averages themselves.
With a car and a cabin, the spread across the window is far wider. For one adult, the average peaks at €319.22 in September 2026 against €141.79 in March 2027; for two adults, €365.41 against €182.77; for two adults and two children, €415.08 against €244.57. January 2027 stays close to that floor: €147.37 for one adult, €188.71 for two, €250.79 for the family of four — only a few euros above November 2026.
The absolute floor, though, does not always follow the lowest average. For the single adult and the couple, it falls in October 2026: €145.36 and €185.98, both recorded on Tuesday 20 October 2026. For the family of four, it falls in November 2026 instead: €247.22, recorded on Saturday 24 November 2026.
September 2026 is thus the most expensive month of the window for all four profiles tracked, from the foot passenger in a reclining seat to the family with a car and a cabin. December 2026 closes a little above the floor: €150.86, €190.55 and €250.65 on average depending on the package.
The day-of-the-week effect
Three departure days appear in our readings on this route. For the foot passenger in a reclining seat, Tuesday and Thursday are almost level, €55.65 and €54.84 on average, ahead of Saturday at €56.81. On the packages with a car and a cabin, the cheapest day shifts with the number of passengers. For a single adult, Thursday edges out Tuesday: €164.78 against €169.48. The same order holds, just as tight, for two adults: €209.37 on Thursday against €215.45 on Tuesday. For the family of four, the order flips: Tuesday moves back ahead, at €282.96, against €275.20 on Thursday. Saturday, though, stays the most expensive of the three days across all four profiles, without exception: €185.15 for one adult, €230.69 for two, €294.23 for the family. The gap between days reads mainly on the packages with a car, far less on the reclining seat.
Leaving from another port for Marseille
Among the Corsican ports recorded heading to Marseille, Porto-Vecchio is the cheapest for a foot passenger in a reclining seat: €37.62 at the minimum, for a departure on 31 December 2026, and €55.76 on average, with La Méridionale. The ports served by Corsica Linea sit above: L'Île-Rousse from €56.01 (€64.11 on average), Bastia from €56.50 (€63.18 on average) and Propriano from €57.64 (€62.60 on average). On average, one thing shifts: Porto-Vecchio, second on entry price, takes the lead of the five ports with €55.76, ahead of Porto-Vecchio (€55.76): the best floor and the best overall level do not fall on the same quay. Among the ports served by Corsica Linea, though, the minimum order carries over exactly into the average: L'Île-Rousse stays ahead of Bastia, with Propriano last on both readings. Choosing the departure port therefore shifts the price, and sometimes the company.
What these readings cover
No comparison between companies is possible on the direct Porto-Vecchio–Marseille route: every date recorded carries La Méridionale, the only company on this route. The comparison plays out at the level of the departure port, not one company against another on the same quay. The observed window covers September to December 2026 and spills over into the first days of January 2027; the calendar recorded is concentrated on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. All amounts are given either as a minimum ("from") or as an average, aggregated as of 14 September 2026. A foot-passenger round trip works out to €77.40: the outward leg of Tuesday 17 September 2026 at €41.62 and the return of Monday 23 September 2026 at €35.78, both legs with La Méridionale.
