Porto-Vecchio–Marseille: what our readings show
In our readings of 22 August 2026, La Méridionale is the only company on the Porto-Vecchio–Marseille route. The crossing runs overnight; according to the company, boarding is prepared 1 hour before departure on foot, 1 hour 30 with a vehicle. For a foot passenger in a reclining seat, the crossing starts at €34.62 and works out to €46.13 on average across all the dates observed. With a car and a cabin, a single adult starts from €127.36 (€215.29 on average); two adults from €158.98 (€252.08 on average); two adults and two children from €205.22 (€307.91 on average).
August 2026 at the top, January 2027 at the bottom
For the foot passenger in a reclining seat, the lowest average of the window is €37.62, shared by November 2026 and January 2027; December 2026 follows at €37.91. August 2026 holds the peak, at €112.12 on average, while its entry fare, €85.62 on Thursday 29 August 2026, does not dip any lower than the rest of the window. It is the share of expensive crossings, not the entry fare, that pulls the August average upwards.
The profile's absolute floor falls in autumn: €34.62, recorded on Tuesday 15 September, then again on Tuesdays 20 and 27 October 2026. September 2026 brings the average back to €50.24, October to €41.41.
With a car and a cabin, the spread across the window is far wider. For one adult, the average reaches €740.36 in August 2026 against €132.36 in January 2027, with an August minimum of €697.36 recorded on Tuesday 27 August 2026. For two adults, the August average climbs to €827.73 against €159.98 in January 2027; for two adults and two children, €940.47 against €205.22. The floors, for their part, stay in October 2026, all recorded on Tuesday 20 October: €127.36 for one adult, €158.98 for two, €206.22 for the family of four. January 2027 holds the lowest averages, October 2026 the lowest minimums — the two readings do not point to the same date.
September 2026 stays high on the motorised packages: the average there reaches €282.36 for one adult, €325.52 for two and €389.84 for the family, while the foot passenger has already come back down. December 2026 closes at €139.07, €166.98 and €212.51 on average depending on the package.
The day-of-the-week effect
Three departure days appear in our readings on this route. For the foot passenger in a reclining seat, Tuesday and Thursday are almost level, €42.72 and €43.17 on average, ahead of Saturday at €52.19. On the packages with a car and a cabin, Tuesday clearly stands out: €199.16 for one adult, €232.98 for two and €285.22 for the family, against €193.61, €227.53 and €280.07 on Thursday. Saturday stays the most expensive of the three whatever the package: €251.31, €293.65 and €356.03 on average. The gap between days reads mainly on the packages with a car, far less on the reclining seat.
Leaving from another port for Marseille
Among the Corsican ports recorded heading to Marseille, Porto-Vecchio is the cheapest for a foot passenger in a reclining seat: €34.62 at the minimum, for a departure on Tuesday 20 October 2026, and €46.13 on average, with La Méridionale. Ajaccio follows at €36.95 at the minimum for a departure on 29 October 2026 (€44.08 on average), also with La Méridionale. The ports served by Corsica Linea sit above: L'Île-Rousse from €55.50 (€66.97 on average), Bastia from €56.01 (€70.19 on average) and Propriano from €57.64 (€71.89 on average). On average, two things move. Ajaccio, second on entry price, takes the lead of the five ports with €44.08, ahead of Porto-Vecchio (€46.13): the best floor and the best overall level do not fall on the same quay. And among the ports served by Corsica Linea, the order turns over as well: Bastia (€70.19) moves ahead of L'Île-Rousse (€66.97), Propriano (€71.89) staying last on both readings. Choosing the departure port therefore shifts both the price and the company.
What these readings cover
No comparison between companies is possible on the direct Porto-Vecchio–Marseille route: every date recorded carries La Méridionale, the only company on this route. The comparison plays out at the level of the departure port, not one company against another on the same quay. The observed window covers August to December 2026 and spills over into the first days of January 2027; the calendar recorded is concentrated on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. All amounts are given either as a minimum ("from") or as an average, aggregated as of 22 August 2026. A foot-passenger round trip works out to €68.40: the outward leg of Tuesday 15 September 2026 at €34.62 and the return of Monday 21 September 2026 at €33.78, both legs with La Méridionale.
