Nice–Bastia: what our readings show
On the Nice–Bastia route, a single company appears in our readings of 14 September 2026: Corsica Ferries. It carries the fares of the four profiles tracked, from the foot passenger in a reclining seat to the family of four with a car and a cabin; no other company serves Bastia from Nice in our readings. The choice is therefore not about the company, but about the date and the departure port. According to Corsica Ferries, the crossing takes between 6 and 8 hours depending on the ship, largely by day, with night departures also offered; boarding takes place 30 minutes before departure on foot, 1 hour with a vehicle.

With a car and a cabin, the trough moves. For one adult, Thursday leads, at €128.50, ahead of Sunday at €138.00; the dearest day there is Tuesday, at €167.00. For two adults, Thursday keeps the lead, €157.00, ahead of Sunday at €172.40, and Tuesday drops to last at €198.00. For two adults and two children, Thursday takes first place back at €201.00, with Monday still the dearest at €250.00. Wednesday is absent from the readings on all four profiles.

Leaving from another port for Bastia
From Nice, the foot passenger with a reclining seat starts from €26.26 (€38.32 on average) — but that is not the cheapest port. Three ports do better on the entry price, the first two with Corsica Ferries: Livorno from €29.10 (€42.83 on average), Savona from €26.10 (€48.42) and Toulon from €23.26 (€41.39). Behind Nice come Genoa from €40.75 with Moby Lines (€47.64), Sète at €41.00 as a minimum and on average alike, then Marseille, which only comes down to €53.37 with Corsica Linea (€58.48 on average). Piombino has dropped out of this ranking: as of this reading, no departure for Bastia is recorded there.
On the average, the ranking reshuffles: Nice takes the lead (€38.32), ahead of Toulon (€41.39), Livorno (€42.83) — which nonetheless held the lowest entry price —, Sète (€41.00) and Savona (€48.42); Genoa (€47.64) then Marseille (€58.48) bring up the rear. The port with the lowest entry price, Livorno, is therefore not the one with the lowest average, Nice — and where the floors spread widely, the first five averages stay bunched together.
